Prologue

Post three images

A: YOUR BEST PIECE OF CREATIVE WORK BEFORE COMING TO UNIVERSITY

This watercolour painting was for the 2009 Royal Easter Show Exhibition. I hadn't had much experience with watercolour and as it isn't my strongest medium, I found it particularly hard to control. I was eventually quite happy and surprised with the results.

B: AN IMAGE OF A GREAT PIECE OF ARCHITECTURE

LV store New York
cr: archidose.blogspot.com

This is the Louis Vuitton store in Manhattan designed by Jun Aoki. What intrigued me was the laminated glass with the Louis Vuitton signifture checkered pattern. The gradient from opague to transparent between the layers creates a three dimensional effect and gives the building a tranquil ambience amongst the busy life in New York.

C: AN ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPH OF SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL

The Great Barrier Reef

This photo was taken when I went Hamilton Islands during these summer holidays. I once had an image filled with rich colours but what I saw in front of me left me in confusion. Most of the coral was bleached white yet people around me were in awe of its beauty. Is it beautiful or was it once beautiful?
